The tempting aromas waft through the spice kitchen all day long. This is where fresh dill, crunchy onions and the finest herbs and spices are chopped and mixed. Once the herbs and spices are in the jar, the finishing touch is added: the Spreewald gherkins. Wonderfully crunchy and naturally delicious. We always use the best ingredients in all of our fruit and vegetable specialities. That is the only way to create a taste and flavour that has earned the name “Spreewaldhof”. Whether it is our spicy Hungarian specialities like Lecho and Puszta salad or our apple compote with real bourbon vanilla, the ingredients make the difference.
QUALITY CONTROL IS GOOD, MORE QUALITY CONTROL IS EVEN BETTER.
Quality is our top priority, and that’s why we perform regular quality inspections during production. Our measuring tools: the eyes and hands of our employees. All raw ingredients are inspected, and only the best make it into the Spreewaldhof jars. Internal laboratory tests supported by independent institutes ensure additional quality assurance. Since 2001, Spreewaldhof has been annually certified under the ISO 9001 international quality standard, since 2004 under the IFS, and was granted the Bio-Zertifikat organic certification in 2007.
